Program TitleVain vs. Vein: The Best Practice Game Show

Objectives:

1. Identify key functions of the Endothelial Glycocalyx (eGCX).

2. Discuss the impact of an injured or diseased Glycocalyx.

3. Identify key ultrasound assessments that present a healthy vessel vs. Unhealthy vessel.

4. Discuss the impact of catheter materials on complications.

5. Identify key interventions that aid in the reduction of catheter related thrombosis (CRT).

Description:

Join us for an exciting intellectual journey as we explore some key topics in vessel health & preservation.

This engaging educational gameshow will challenge participants to explore their knowledge of vascular anatomy and the implications for thrombotic complications.

From the impact of the Endothelial Glycocalyx (eGCX) to exploring the effects of catheter materials, contestants will demonstrate their expertise in vascular access.

Who will emerge as the ultimate vessel virtuoso by navigating this complex terrain with finesse and expertise? Join us for "Vain vs. Vein" and participate in the thrilling showdown of knowledge, wit, and vascular mastery. 

Cost: Free for paid 2024 AzVAN Members 

$25.00 for single event for non-members (fee must be paid at time of registration).
